Daintree Rainforest Retreat is an environmental award winning boutique style motel accommodation situated in the heart of the Daintree/Cape Tribulation National Park. We are located on over one hectare of rainforest and tropical gardens, near the shores of the Coral Sea and the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park.

Daintree Rainforest Retreat has bright and airy rooms that reflect the area in which we live. They contain high ceilings with fans, kitchenettes, comfy queen size beds and include en-suite bathrooms. We also have a large saltwater swimming pool and gas barbeque area. The gardens are so lush and relaxing it can be hard to leave.

The pristine Cow Bay beach is within easy reach: five minutes by car, or a delightful bike ride of fifiteen minutes, or a leisurely stroll of thirty minutes. This is the best of Far North Queensland, where the Rainforest meets the Reef. Get away from the crowded beaches of the Cairns area and wander the expansiveness of unspoilt golden sands. You can soak up the sun or sit back and enjoy the scenery under a shady tree only metres from the water.

Finding Us

Cow Bay is a small hamlet only 90 minutes north of Cairns, 45 minutes north of Port Douglas and 30 minutes north of Mossman. Cairns Airport, the International gateway to Tropical Far North Queensland connects to Cow Bay via the sealed, all weather, Cook Highway and the famous picturesque, Daintree River Ferry crossing.
