Biloela is a thriving rural town set in the heart of the Callide Valley in central QLD. The town was originally a centre for the surrounding agricultural district but more recently other industries such as coal mining, meat works, a power station, wheat and sunflower farming. The cattle industry is thriving with the largest number of cattle of any Shire in Queensland. Biloela's biggest attraction, The Silo stands more than 28 metres high and houses an array of displays about primary industry.

Biloela has a local Aboriginal origin, the word meaning "cockatoo". Just south of Biloela is Mount Scoria, an unusual basalt formation about 150 metres high with symmetrically shaped rocks which look like a giant staircase. Nearby Callide Dam has a picnic area and is popular with locals and visitors alike with facilities for fishing, water skiing, and other water sports.

Visit Greycliffe Station, re-sited from Rannes outside the town to a location near the Biloela High School, a beautifully preserved slab hut dating back to the 1870s which has been converted into a museum by the local historical society. Further afield visit nearby Kroombit National Park sandstone escarpment with its spectacular views, subtropical rainforest and palm fringed waterfalls. Also there you'll find the final resting place of the Beautiful Betsy, an aircraft which went missing in World War Two.

Biloela is a rural service centre in Central Queensland located 594 kms north of Brisbane.

From Brisbane via the Burnett Hwy the Motel is located on the left as you enter Biloela (same from the Airport).

From Rockhampton turn right onto the Burnett Highway for 300m with Motel located on the right hand side.

From Gladstone turn left just past Woolworth's Shopping Centre onto the Burnett Hwy. Travel 300m with Motel located 300m on right hand side.
