The Vineyards Motel - Angaston (Barossa Valley)

The Vineyards Motel is about halfway between Angaston and Nuriootpa in the heart of the Barossa Valley Wine Region. The Vineyards Motel is the only motel in the Angaston area giving it has a clear position of affordability amongst a sea of Barossa Valley pricey Bed & Breakfasts.

The Vineyards Motel has 21 units of various configuration and can take groups up to 58 people. We offer guests ground floor units with undercover parking, air conditioning and heating, Austar TV, wireless broadband connection as well as an Internet kiosk. We have a swimming pool with a BBQ area overlooking beautiful Saltram's Vineyard and there is ample parking for all types of vehicles.

The Vineyards Motel offers friendly and professional service and is the perfect base for daily excursions around the Barossa Valley's many cellar doors and other sights. Tours to many points of interest can be arranged from reception.

Things to do in Angaston:

Angaston is a popular and important part of the Barossa Valley. We are located across the road from the famous Barossa Farmers Market and the award winning Vintners Bar and Grill. The farmers market is a superb Saturday morning event where the splendours of Barossa's local produce are on display and ripe for the tasting.

Yalumba Wines, Australia's oldest and biggest family owned cellar door is located 3 kms from the motel and has a large selection of premium wines. There are over 50 wineries to visit in the Barossa area, as well as beautiful townships with galleries and restaurants.

Discover the Whispering Wall; the retaining wall for the Barossa Reservoir, which provides a scenic view of the reservoir and offers an interesting acoustic experience where a friend can hear your whisper more than 100 metres away.

Visit Mengler Hill lookout for more scenic views or for the more adventurous try floating above the Barossa, drifting with the breeze, in a hot air balloon. Balloon flying in the morning, wine tasting in the afternoon, what a superb day.

If you enjoy golf, The Barossa Valley Golf Club at Nuriootpa is within easy reach of Angaston. You can enjoy a relaxing game of golf in a true bush setting on a course that also acts as a sanctuary for local flora and fauna.

The Vineyards Motel is located 2kms outside Angaston, 5km from Nuriootpa and 10km from Tanunda in the Barossa Valley. We are approximately 2 hours drive north of Adelaide via the Sturt Hwy.
