The Eureka Stockade Centre, Sovereign Hill and the Ballarat Fine Art Gallery, Australia's oldest and largest regional gallery, provide insights into Ballarat's colourful history.

Wine connoisseurs are well catered for with around 20 wineries within a 25 kilometre radius of the city, specialising in crisp chardonnays, spirited pinots and sparkling wines.

Finding Us

Begonia City Motor Inn is ideally located on the Midland Highway enroute to Geelong, The Great Ocean Road, The Gold Fields, Grampians and Melbourne. Ballarat is just over 1 hour from Melbourne and Geelong.

From Melbourne, take 1st exit off Western Highway into the city centre. From Sturt street turn left (same side as the Bendigo bank) into Doveton Street (Midland Highway A300) Drive for 5 minutes (5 Km) we are at 244 Albert Street, just past the Sebastopol Bowls club. We are on the right hand side of the road.

From Geelong, we are the first Motel on your left hand side. Safe driving!
